Many approaches begin by asking:
"What diagnosis explains this symptom?"
Functional medicine begins differently.
It asks...
"What changes within the body may be contributing to these symptoms?"
That's an important distinction.
Because your body doesn't function as isolated parts.
It functions as an interconnected system.
When digestion is struggling...
Inflammation may increase.
When blood sugar becomes unstable...
Energy often declines.
When nutrient absorption is compromised...
The body may struggle to produce energy efficiently.
Rather than looking at one symptom at a time...
I believe we need to step back and look at the whole picture.
